How often should you get a new full set of lashes?

Women who can take care of their maintenance and who are regular in the eyelash studio will always have a beautiful complete set. This means that you should reserve your refills every 2 or 3 weeks to maintain the result. It is recommended to make a new, fresh and complete series only every 5-6 months. Your natural lashes have a life cycle.

Over the course of 2 to 3 months, your lashes will grow and then fall out naturally. When the eyelashes fall out, the extension that is attached to them comes off along with them. All of your lashes go through this cycle at different stages, so it's normal to lose eyelashes regularly. And this natural life cycle is why it's important to visit us for regular supplies to maintain a complete, cohesive look.

Most eyelash extension technicians recommend filling in your lashes every 2 to 3 weeks. Sometimes, you can wait longer, even up to 4 weeks, depending on retention, the maintenance of the eyelash extensions, and the skin care products you use (more on that later). Most eyelash technicians require that you have at least 40% of extensions left to fill in your lashes; otherwise, it will be considered a complete set. To achieve the best possible adhesion and prevent too much adhesive from accumulating on the eyelash line, a new set of extensions will be needed after filling in or two.

However, over time, we recommend purchasing a new set of extensions instead of fillers, and there are a few factors that come into play before making that recommendation. In general, it is best to perform a refill service when the customer has at least 40% of the eyelash extensions left in the entire set. This is completely normal and maintaining a regular and timely routine of alternating between full sets and refills will ensure that your eyelashes always look their best. Once your customer has a full set of eyelash extensions, they'll need to come periodically to fill them in.

As long as you follow the time guidelines between a full session and a refill appointment, your eyelashes should have a density of between 70 and 100% or more, compared to a full session after this appointment. If you're new to the world of eyelash extensions, you'll want to have a “full set” of lashes the first time you walk into The Lash Lounge.
